Because English beats up other languages in dark alleys, then rifles through their pockets for loose grammar and spare vocabulary.
hi guys! this is a comic i made for a final in my comics in literature class. we had to do a research paper on a topic we’d discussed in class and then accompany it with a comic with a relevant subject. my paper was about hyper-sexualization of women in comic books, but i decided to broaden it out here as well as personalize it and make myself the subject and discuss something i’ve been subjected to in the convention circuit and on the internet as well as thousands of other women, as well as give a cue to thought about how the comic book industry as well as the video game industry and even just media in general (all of which are male dominated) push such ridiculous pressures onto girls and women.
also, it feels kind of silly to have to add this since i hope it’s obvious, but i am very aware that there are men that don’t subscribe to this attitude, and am incredibly grateful that these issues are brought to light to people other than the ones that are subjected to it.

do you ever look around at the big crowds of people around you and realize everyone has a story and memories and family and troubles and achievements and a first kiss and a broken heart but you’ll never know any of it and every human life is really intricate and expansive but oh they’ve walked into a shop and you’ll never see them again and you’ll never know just what they were thinking

I don’t blame him though…he was offered his dream job, since he was a longtime fan of the band. The other 3 on the other hand…bad, very bad.
We have a saying here that goes “La culpa no es del chancho, sino del que le da de comer”,…
I blame Chester in the way that he’s constantly saying STP are his idols, that Scott is his idol and more importantly Scott and he are friends (not anymore probably) and he goes on to take his idol and friends job knowing that he was fired and forced out of the band. I think that is in bad taste.
But yeah, I blame the three others much more.
Well, you do have a point there…maybe he shouldn’t have accepted to front the band if he was actually friends with Scott…which leads me to think he wasn’t really. Or he cared more about the fame and money than his friend…which is certainly the case with the other 3, who are keeping the name because of the fame and money it brings with it, instead of just making a whole new project, which is something we could have all been on board with.
